I just acquired a "Pacer Sport" 1978 moped, with a "Morini Franco Motori". -- It looked good, but I've found that the motor is "frozen". Just curious if anyone has any good ideas on best methods to 'un-freeze' this engine. I have removed the head, and got a wood peg of approx piston diameter, and have given several taps, but to no avail - thought I'd check with others before I try anything that might damage the engine. --Alwaysfixin (Harry Harvey)

Info to any readers: I had success in freeing the engine. I first got the mag rotor to move, using a chain wrench. I finally got the cylinder to separate from the engine,( with the piston still frozen to the cylinder wall), and I got the cylinder separated far enough to get a puller under the cylinder (and put steel plates between cylinder and puller) I put a wooden peg on the piston, and proceded to push the piston out of the cylinder, with no apparent damage. Used lots of oil. The whole engine was extremely rusty. Actually finally got the engine running. But need all four cylinder "studs" - 110 mm long, and 6 mm diameter. Anyone know where I can get them... email me at harvn9ar@frontier.com
