hello mate i have an s5 e engine an looks similar to yrs. i figured out that if u take 2 of the gear casing bolts (should have allen key heads) and screw them into the 2 holes in the clutch it should push against the block and pop the clutch off.

legend! what a fantastic idea, I'll give it a go. thanks mate, really appreciate it. Hopefully save me nearly £40 getting a tool shipped to the UK which I'll probably only use this once! cheers, Jason.

The gear that is just in front of the clutch assembly, is it threaded on? If so is it reverse thread or regular? Is it normally a pain to take off? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Make your own gear puller for this. All you need is some flat stock, a couple of bolts to go into the clutches and a center bolt to push against the crank shaft. The bolt holes in the clutch are the same threads as the clutch cover. Go purchase a couple of spares as well as a little larger bolt for pushing against the crank shaft along with a couple of cheap taps. Get the tool made for just a few bucks.

Will probably end up doing that for a puller. Messing with it again as it seems there is not an oil seal on the clutch side of the crankshaft. Not my doing.
It is reverse thread on the clutch side by the way.
